MASS
The
building materials used for floors and internal walls influence the
heat storage capacity and comfort of your house. Heavy building
materials such as concrete and brick have good thermal mass. That is,
the ability to store heat.
If
the house has good solar access, thermal mass will keep the house
warm in winter. Thermal mass will also keep the house cooler in
summer.
