SOURCES OF INFORMATION
Tertiary
sources of information are the least reliable but can obtain a great
deal of useful in firstly making the sale known and also may contain
good background information to a sale.
TRADE
NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES
Real
estate newspapers and magazines commonly include articles or a
summary of important recent market transactions. The advertisements
and asking prices of properties for sale are also important
background and support data for actual sales.
ADVANTAGES
The
information is up to date and often includes some good background
information on large or important properties. Easy to find and
collate.
DISADVANTAGES
May
be incorrectly reported and therefore, should be checked with a more
reliable source before becoming part of the valuation report.
Generally, such publications only cover large large/or interesting
properties.
