TENANCY
BY ESTOPPEL
A
tenancy that occurs when the conduct of the parties are such that one
party cannot deny the other, the status of either a tenant or landlord.
For example, where a landlord maintains that a person is not a tenant
but at the same time accepts rent from and allows continual
occupation of the premises by that person.
