MONEY
A
term used to describe the payment of an amount of money to gain
occupancy from an existing lessee. The price paid by a purchaser of a
lease that allows the lessee to enjoy a profit
rental,
or having a long residue offering security of tenure. Key money may
be part of business goodwill and therefore part of the value of a
business.
