INFORMAL TENDER

A tender with stated procedures that must be followed by the agent and tenderer. These may include a tender document, a tender book to be signed by all interested parties, use of a tender box, a set procedure for the opening of the box, evaluation of the tenders, and communication with both the successful and unsuccessful tenderers. A formal tender is required for the disposal of government or council land.
