There following are important exclusions to the basic fire policy:

The following are general exclusions in a typical home buildings insurance policy. The policy does not cover loss or damage caused by or arising from:

Flood means the inundation of normally dry land by water escaping or released from the normal confines of any natural watercourse or lake, whether or not altered or modified, or any reservoir, channel, canal, or dam.


The policy does not cover loss or damage intentionally caused by you or your family or a person acting with the consent of you or your family. Nor does it cover loss or damage to electric motors caused by fusion.
