There following are important exclusions to the basic fire policy:
the consequence of war, invasions, etc.
loss or damage to the property because of any process involving the application of heat.
any legal liability from nuclear fallout, nuclear weapons, material, and any indemnity offered by another policy.
not applicable if the buildings are vacant in excess of 60 consecutive days, and without consent.
FLOOD
Flood means the inundation of normally dry land by water escaping or released from the normal confines of any natural watercourse or lake, whether or not altered or modified, or any reservoir, channel, canal, or dam.
wear, tear, rust, corrosion, deterioration, or erosion
the sea or high water
depreciation
vermin, rodents, insects or birds
subsidence or landslide unless it arises immediately from an earthquake or explosion
radio activity or the use, existence, or escape of any nuclear fuel, nuclear material, or nuclear waste.
any war, whether it has been formally declared or not, or hostilities or rebellion.
the lawful seizure, confiscation, nationalisation, or requisition of your home or any other item covered by this policy.
faulty design or workmanship in your home or on the site
the discharge or escape of any pollutant or contaminant
The policy does not cover loss or damage intentionally caused by you or your family or a person acting with the consent of you or your family. Nor does it cover loss or damage to electric motors caused by fusion.
