A corporation or company is a legal person or body corporate. The company acts through it's agents or representatives. A company can enter into any legal contract that a private person can.
With the leases it is common for a person to sign on behalf of the company and be liable for rents and debts incurred under the terms of the lease. That is, a personal guarantee.
